car
Ferrari F430 GT3
The Ferrari F430 Challenge Sports Car was launched in 2005 and is based on the F430 production car, with a significant reduction in weight to 1225kg, following a thorough schedule of removing all unnecessary items from equipment to interiors. Only 100 of these cars were manufactured.
In 2006, JMB Racing used the F430 Challenge as the basis for the development of a special racer designed to compete in the FIA GT3 European and British GT Championships.
The resulting car, called the F430 GT3, both used the same 4.3-liter V8 engine, but outperformed the F430 Challenge in terms of more highly developed aerodynamics and increased power output.
After extensive tuning, the GT3 unit developed the 550 bhp. This surpassed the F430 Challenge’s 483 bhp and the GT2’s stable opponent, the F430 GTC’s 445 bhp.
However, the regulations set for the GT3 class required the vehicle to comply in order to produce a power-to-weight ratio of approximately 2.6 kg / bhp.
To meet this requirement, the F430 GT3 race trim weighed 1219 kg, 119 kg heavier than the F430 GTC.
As a result, the GT3 developed significantly more power than the GTC, but was actually significantly slower.
This was revealed at the 2007 Spa 24 Hours Endurance Event, where both variations were entered.
As a result, GT3 was more than 7 seconds slower than GTC per lap.
But not everything was lost, and that same year the F430 GT3 won the drivers’ title at the FIA GT3 European Championship.
Since 2007, GT3 technology development has created an Evolution variant with adequate performance enhancements.
Ferrari F430 Scuderia GT3
In 2009, following the further development of the F430 GT3 by Kessel Racing, a successor was introduced and designated as the F430 Scuderia GT3.
The new sports car is based on the Scuderia and has been modified as much as possible within the GT3 regulations, resulting in higher performance variations.
The important features are:
