The competition between car brands is constant. Hyundai is in close competition with Multi, but these brands have other rivals, Toyota and Honda, that tend to win the more expensive automotive segment. You may not be able to find a Toyota car on the market to compete with Eon, but it is certainly competing for space between mid-sized and high-end segment cars.
Every year, there are many expectations about what car brands will launch to seduce Indian customers. Do you focus on luxury features, fuel economy and power? How balanced are these factors? The game of suspense and expectation continues. Let’s see what Honda and Toyota are preparing for the Indian market as the New Year arrives.
Toyota scheduled to be released in 2013
The focus of this car brand will be on mid-segment cars. From MPVs to SUVs to midsedans. The brand sticks to carefully selected segments and provides its competitors with a source of thought. With Maruti Ertiga or Nissan Evalia creating an MPV segment in India, Toyota plans to acquire some space in this segment at Toyota Avanza. Similar in appearance to Innova, but narrower in length and width. Also, the price is about 7 racks. The Toyota Rush is a new look compact SUV for those who are tired of the Innova. Vios seeks to close the gap in the midsedan car segment between Etios and Altis. For the ultra-luxury segment, Lexus will be improved and launched with international features and standards. This luxury car costs nearly 20 racks.
Honda car released in 2013
Next year’s launch of Honda vehicles will reflect changes in the company’s strategy, especially for the Indian market. Some want to compete head-on, while others want to capture the decline in market share. For Honda cars with high power and low fuel consumption, it is stressful to grasp the price difference between gasoline and diesel. Therefore, Honda will launch the Brio Diesel and Honda City Diesel to allow more options for customers to have powerful cars with less pockets. The Brio sedan will also be released, and the Accord and CRV will be remodeled.
Comparison of Honda and Toyota released in 2013
There are no plans for direct competition between the two brands, as the focus will be different next year as well. Toyota will focus primarily on the MPV and SUV segments, while Honda will focus on increasing hatchback sales and making cars easier to drive in a wallet.
