The new 2017 SVX Coupe adds flare to Subaru Fleet Dynamic

The new 2017 SVX Coupe adds flare to Subaru Fleet Dynamic

In the early 1990s, the Subaru stable had a 3.3-liter coupe, and the Alcyone SVX was styled by influential designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. This two-door grand tourer combines luxury and performance. It was in production from 1991 until it retired in December 1996, but it was confirmed that the SVX mark and concept were being revived. There is current demand from the US market for a particularly strong coupe to enhance the Subaru brand and attract new customers. The current details are at best sketchy, but there are some known details.

Subaru is currently enjoying the wave of popularity and has all the benefits that come with it. As part of this success, we plan to extend its reach to the corporate market. The SVX is expected to be the flagship of the Subaru fleet, firmly placed on top of the 2016 Tribeca. Initially, the target market is the United States, but Subaru sources say that both Australia and the United Kingdom are on the list. Subaru’s recent concept car highlights a pair of Viziv crossovers. This may give a clue to the SVX design. Another strongly suggested aspect is the use of a 6-cylinder boxer hybrid engine. Handling defines the modern Subaru fleet, and the SVX may be equipped with AWD and shooting brakes.

Subaru has openly stated that future designs will look better and be more sophisticated. As the flagship of the fleet, it is no exaggeration to say that the SVX will probably be the head turner. The profile is a low suspension with flared fenders and headlights very similar to that of the Viziv2 concept car. The Hybrid Tribeca is scheduled to be launched in 2016 and uses the Subaru Global Platform or SGP. The purpose of the platform is to enable axle front layout for electrification. As a result, the new hybrid SVX, which has an interim release date of 2017, will probably also use SGP.

Another interesting aspect of this upcoming hybrid coupe is the hybrid engine component itself. Subaru is committed to making the SVX a powerful coupe with excellent AWD handling. This is also modest in terms of fuel consumption. A 3.3-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine is designed, equipped with a direct injection engine, and paired with a Lexus hybrid plug-in unit. Subaru already has its own XV Crosstrek hybrid system, but the SVX engine is just as powerful. Lexus has been developing hybrid technology for use in high-powered cars for some time. Using a Lexus unit in this way also reduces R & D costs, which can exceed 280kW. This is more output than Subaru because it is the output of the Tesla Model S, which is considered to be a rival car.
