Yesterday I attended several shows at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. The Lincoln Center’s outdoor plaza was full of paparazzi trying to take pictures of fashionistas passing by. Many models came out of the main pavilion and posed in the plaza to increase the promotion of the brands they were wearing. Every year, Fashion Week is held in all major cities from Los Angeles to New York. Every day, designers, the press and celebrities show off the latest and greatest fashion, but most of them don’t reach mainstream buyers and some don’t hit the market. For Apple tech, it’s only available once every 18 months to 2 years. There are so many hype and expectations when it arrives. Whatever Apple introduces, the vast majority want it right away. People are already lined up at Apple’s flagship stores on Fifth and 58th Avenues in New York City. Today, along with the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Apple has launched the Apple Watch. It’s not only a great innovative technology that took years to design and build, but it’s also fashionable, or at least what it wants.

The Apple Watch danced and ran down the runway. It showed off the trinket to the crowd. Apple Watch is available in a variety of materials, including gold, steel, and aluminum, and comes in a variety of colors. Watch bands come in a myriad of designs and can be customized to your personal taste. Unlike a standard wristwatch, it connects to an iPhone, has many features and faces, and can be changed quickly without a dressing room. What do fashion designers think about this? Will they accept a new type of “high-tech luxury”? The next time you see someone in a designer dress or suit, look at that person’s wrist. Is it an Apple Watch?
