Dick Loehr-Founder of Team National

Team National is a membership-based network marketing company that offers a variety of products and services to its members at factory direct prices. Team National was founded in 1996 by serial entrepreneur and former racing driver Richard Loehr (well known as Dick).

Loehr began his racing driver career in 1961 with the Michigan-based Ford drag racing team. He was an incredibly successful driver, winning many titles, including 26 national events, and eventually captaining the team. Loehr was a trade engineer, so he was able to use his business relationships to win sponsorships. Ford left the racing world in 1971, and after 10 years of success, Leah decided to call it a day and left the racing industry.

Loehr opened its own car dealership and RV lot in 1971 and has been successful for eight years. Loehr has become famous in the automotive industry and has participated in several board meetings of various automotive companies. Loehr was, among other things, President of Chrysler Ad Console, President of American Motors Dealer Console, and Chairman of the New Car Dealers Association. Loehr met Lee Iacocca through a Chrysler dealer. Iacocca has involved Lower in a large funding project to restore the Statue of Liberty. Loehr left the automotive industry in 1990 and entered the catering business in 1991. Loehr owned several restaurants in South Florida, but left the industry in 1995 to sell directly. It was at this point that Team National began developing. In 2001, National Companies Inc., also known as Team National, was born.

Loehr was instrumental in helping the cause he believed. The Great Lakes Burn Camp was especially close to his heart, as his daughter Angela suffered severe burns at an early age. Loehr and Team National have supported the camp for many years and have actively encouraged others to do so. Loehr also supported the camp-based community and contributed significantly to Toy Run, the country’s largest motorcycle toy drive. Charity is a big part of Loehr’s life, and he even donated 100% of the proceeds from one product to charity.

Loehr died on May 13, 2008 after a long battle with prostate cancer. His philanthropic nature remains in the company and is now run by Leah’s daughter Angela. Angela retained many of the principals planted by her father. Team National is still focused on saving consumers money while helping them earn at the same time. Dick Loehr’s legacy is alive.
