Mercedes dominates the road with its power. The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Germany emulates power and amplifies innovation. When traveling in the Stuttgart area, spend a day at the shrine to design.
Stuttgart is the transportation hub of Germany, with headquarters in Daimler, Porsche and Maybach. The Volkswagen Beetle prototype was made here. Stuttgart is a pioneer of light rail or trams in Germany.
Local genius, Karl BenzInvented the first oil-powered vehicle. Benz co-owned a steel mill. He started messing around with the motor for extra income. His 1879 patent on 2-stroke engines led to the creation of Mercedes-Benz & Company. Mercedes-Benz touted the idea of combining oil-powered engines and vehicles. In 1883 he patented a gas-fueled vehicle. Mercedes-Benz and the company launched a car line and never looked back.
The other side of the town, Gottlieb Daimler And his partner, Wilhelm Maybach, Has created many of the first, including high-speed oil engines. Four-wheeled vehicles; and gasoline-powered motorcycles. In 1890, Daimler and Maybach founded the Daimler Motoren Gezel Shaft. After years of success, Daimler fell ill and died at the age of 62. The eight-story museum appears to have been carved by Thor in circular steel, concrete and glass. The shape of each floor is a Mercedes three-point star symbol that represents part of the past, present and future. For example, the second floor is about historic and current Mercedes trucks. Other levels focus on the legend of Mercedes-Benz. Celebrity Cars; Sustainability Technology; and Future Vision.
Racing is the soul of the company and the 7th floor is the most fun. From the beginning, Daimler understood the importance of Grand Prix and other road racing innovations and brand building. The race played an important role in pulling Mercedes out of the wreckage of World War II. As a German vehicle producer, Allied bombers smashed Daimler and Stuttgart. Auto racing has emerged as a major sport after the war. The presence and victory of Mercedes-Benz has accelerated sales from around the world.
Stuttgart is a great stop for the German itinerary with other museums and some great castles like the magnificent Hohenzollern Castle. The highlight is the Mercedes-Benz Museum. After your visit, you’ll pay more respect to Mercedes, who just blew the door on the Autobahn. Racing is in that DNA.
